JOB SUMMARY/ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: Under the Assistant Director of Admissions Operations, the Admissions Counselor represents the university's total educational program to prospective students, parents, academic institutions, and the community. This position assists and supports in application processing, effective guidance and counseling, student activities, operations, policies and procedures, and communications for the Colleges of Dentistry and Medicine.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Assists in providing ongoing communication to students, college programs, and the campus community.
- Manages daily admissions counselor related operation reporting for Banner, Argos, and OnBase.
- Assists with campus, and program recruitment activities as needed.
- Conducts large and small group informational meetings for prospective and enrolled students.
- Provides assigned programs with a report of campus visitors and potential candidates for additional follow-up.
- Assists, plans, coordinates, and executes activities related to new students, to include orientation activities-program enrollment, and graduation ceremonies.
- Assists college program administrators obtain pertinent information regarding applicant file review, admission committee processes, and admissions decisions.
- Collaborates with the offices of the Registrar and Financial Aid to enhance the student experience and deliver exceptional customer service.
- Conducts admissions processing and reporting.
- Ensures accuracy in the daily admissions processing reporting from Banner and Argos with a focus on transfer coursework and attribute reporting.
- Coordinates admissions modifications to Banner Self-Service for Students.
- Provides weekly software status updates to the Assistant Director.
- Participates in enrollment management software testing for system and software enhancements.
- Performs additional duties as assigned.
