Dean of Admissions leads a recruitment and relationship management team in all aspects of innovative recruitment, outreach and retention initiatives for undergraduate admissions. Provides leadership to a diverse group of team members and creates a culture of shared responsibility and innovation. Establishes admissions policies and procedures in accordance with the goals of the institution. Responsible for managing the day to day operations, recruitment strategies and budgetary activities and services of the Office of Admissions. Serves as an integral and collaborative member of the university leadership to implement the priorities of the Strategic Plan and commit to promoting diversity and inclusion in all aspects of enrollment planning.
Works very closely with the VP of University Marketing and Enrollment Planning to effectively implement the annual enrollment and retention goals and objectives of the college. Oversees and manages recruitment/outreach initiatives aimed at efficiency in the recruitment of prospective students and monitors quality control measures for effective processing and services to all classifications of students, including those students who have been denied admission.
Plans, develops, implements and assess some major components of the Admissions Office’s recruitment plan consistent with the College’s mission and priorities. Writes and executes assessment and compliance reports on recruitment efforts and the results of those efforts. Complies statistical data and prepares periodic reports regarding enrollment projections and recruiting initiatives. Analyzes data and stays abreast of innovations and best practices to make recommendations for changes and enhancements to the Administration.
Supervises, trains, and evaluates direct reports and Ensures training and professional growth of employees. Creates leadership, training and mentoring opportunities for staff that focus on diversity, access and inclusion.
Prepares and monitors budget of 1.5 million for Admissions. Ensures adherence to fiscal policies and regulations of the College and the State. Authorizes and approves purchases, salaries and other fiscal matters.
Oversees the accuracy of information contained in recruiting publications, websites, publicly disseminated information, etc. Ensures published brochures, documents and advertisements are consistent with College policy and Marketing guidelines.
Participates in and makes decisions regarding the evaluation and competitive selection process of first year students, readmits, international students and scholarship candidates. Chairs Applicant Safety Assessment Committee and facilitates enrollment for other populations as assigned.
Master’s degree in Higher Education, Student Service or related field required and 5-7 years of progressive management roles in admissions or related higher education or student service experience. Must be able to develop and utilize information technology systems for effective communications and to gain efficiencies in operations, utilize data to forecast enrollment trends and evaluate the effectiveness of recruitment activities. Must have excellent communication and organizational skills; proven leadership and human relations skills; and the ability to articulate the College’s mission both in writing and in public presentations. Must have demonstrated experience with recruitment of a diverse student populations. Candidates with an equivalent combination of experience and/or education are encouraged to apply.

Additional Salary Information: $73,094 - $90,000 Salary is commensurate with education/experience which exceeds the minimum requirements.
