Office Admissions Coordinator
University of Minnesota, Twin Cities
The Office of Admissions is seeking an Admissions Associate to support freshman recruitment outreach efforts. They will represent the University of Minnesota to the public and provide extra-mile customer service to both internal departments and staff and to prospective students and their families. DUTIES Extra-Mile Customer Service (80% of appointment) â— Giving a 35-minute presentation a couple times a week, on the benefits and opportunities of the University of Minnesota â— Meeting one-on-one with prospective students and family â— Taking inbound calls from students, parents, and key stakeholders. â— Reaching out to those who have contacted us and are seeking additional information to their questions â— Presenting to high school groups that come to learn more about Minnesota Office Projects (10% of appointment) â— Assisting Assistant Directors with various data collection/analysis projects â— Recruitment of students of interest to key stakeholders â— Working with staff in various office groups designed to improve recruitment Duties as Assigned (10% of appointment)

QUALIFICATIONS â— BA/BS Degree or combination of education and work experience to total four years â— Must be able to travel locally and regionally and to work evenings/weekends; some holidays as needed. â— Sensitive to cultural diversity. â— Demonstrated communication skills. â— Familiarity with Twin Cities campus of the U of M preferred.
Preferred Qualifications â— Familiarity with Twin Cities campus of the U of M preferred. â— Experience in admissions, student recruitment, or other aspects of public relations preferred (either paid or volunteer). |
