Wheaton College
Graduate Assistantships Overview Higher Education and Student Development (HESD) Program Overview The M. A. in Higher Education and Student Development (HESD) Program was launched in summer 2019 in partnership with the Student Development Division. It aims to develop “academically grounded, spiritually maturing, and practically skilled” higher education professionals equipped to support college students holistically recognizing their academic, relational, spiritual, and vocational needs. This focus is sustained through coursework in spiritual formation, collegiate learning, emerging adult development, diversity in higher education, soul care and mental health; graduate assistantships in Student Development; and personal, professional, and research-focused faculty mentorship. Questions about the program can be directed to Ashley Condra, Graduate Admissions Counselor, at ashley.condra@wheaton.edu, or visit the program’s website (https://www.wheaton.edu/graduate-school/degrees/ma-in-higher-education-and-student-development/).
