College Counselor Position - St. Jerome Institute (Part-Time)

St. Jerome Institute is hiring for a part-time College Counselor position for SY 2021-2022.

Located in Northeast D.C., St. Jerome Institute (SJI) is a co-ed liberal arts high school which has reinvented traditional education to meet the challenges of our time. 

The SJI curriculum opens the most fundamental questions of the human heart at the very moment when young men and women are longing to understand themselves and their place in the world.

Shoulder to shoulder with great thinkers, writers, artists, and saints, and led by the light of the Catholic intellectual tradition, students at SJI embark on a grand journey of academic excellence and joyful self-discovery.

The role of the College Counselor at SJI involves a further aspect of this journey, as students prepare for life after graduation. College Counselor responsibilities include arranging college recruiter visits (both in-person and virtual), coordinating standardized test preparation, and working closely with students to develop a systematic plan of action regarding their educational goals after High School. The College Counselor will work with students to develop a robust, individualized applicant portfolio, and will provide guidance to students as they discern what is the best-fit college or university for them. 

Hourly compensation will be commensurate with experience and level of education.
