This position reports to the Associate Director of Admissions and is responsible for all aspects of the admissions and recruitment process, with priority oversight for recruitment and admission of students from a specifically assigned territory.
Meet enrollment goals for assigned target recruitment area
Travel, either regionally or nationally, on behalf of the College for recruitment and other college related events
Develop and maintain close working relationships with key secondary school and community college constituents in the assigned territories.
Plan and implement recruitment activities for high schools including travel to institutions within assigned territories.
Counsel prospective applicants on the admissions process and opportunities at Saint Rose. Outreach to and counseling diverse populations are important responsibilities of this position.
Coordinate and contribute to the success of various on- and off-campus student visit programs designed to recruit prospective students and applicants.
Manage ongoing strategic communications with high school counselors, including email, print, and other media.
Assist in the development, maintenance and execution of the department's communication plan to prospective and admitted students.
Evaluate and execute admission decisions on applicant files
Develop and monitor statistical reports to enhance recruitment strategies in target territories and yield management.
Oversees one special project within Undergraduate Admissions
Other duties as assigned.
A bachelor's degree
At least 1 year of college admissions experience in a public or private institution of higher education is preferred.
Demonstrated evidence of recruiting students from a diverse background preferred.
Experience managing a recruitment territory is preferred.
Proven ability to effectively communicate in person and in writing. Comfort and proven experience speaking in front of groups is essential.
Demonstrated skill using technology and social media in recruitment and admissions.
Proven ease working in and contributing to a team environment.
Should be self-motivated, possess high energy, attention to detail, and the ability to organize effectively.
A valid driver's license and the ability to travel for extended time frames and work nights and weekends as necessary.
Work Schedule: Monday-Friday, Full time, Full year
Territory assignments will be discussed at interview and established upon hire date
This position requires flexibility of schedule to include frequent travel, evening and weekend hours, especially during the recruitment season of September-April.
