The Admissions Counselor shepherds all applicants through the Admissions process including but not limited to tours, specials events, and represents Charlotte Latin School on and off campus. In addition, Admissions Counselors will have areas of specialty within the order of operations of the office. The Admissions Counselor will also work to actively initiate and support diversity efforts. The Admissions Counselor is a 10 month, benefits eligible position.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Gives Tours, Works with Families from Inquiry to Matriculation
Foster, design and implement diversity efforts and recruitment TK - 12
Special Events coordination
Extensive file review and management
Serve as Liaison for Division including packet prep, visit days, reading days,
Prepare Files for Division
Participate in all office events, team meetings, off campus initiatives
Regularly participate in school activities, faculty meetings and observations
Complies with school policies and procedures.
Performs other duties as needed.
Education and Experience
Bachelors degree. Diversity work and Education background preferred.
Independent School experience preferred as well as classroom experience
Proficiency in foreign language preferred
Knowledge and training in educational assessment tools including cognitive behavioral assessments
Or combination of equivalent experience, education, and training.
Excellent communication skills (both writing and speaking skills). Possess a high commitment to communicating effectively in a timely fashion.

Performs work with a constant awareness of improving processes necessary for positive growth.
Has the ability to complete tasks ahead of schedule. Always willing to go the extra mile to complete projects on schedule. Does not give up on tasks until completed in a quality manner.

Proficiency in Google Suite, Microsoft Word, Excel, and other relevant software as well as refined organizational skills
Ability to work with a wide range of students and parents
Ability to interpret Normed Cognitive Assessments and Standardized Scores
Thorough working knowledge of Charlotte Latins ( or like) curriculum in grades TK-12
Keen understanding of development in grades TK-12, especially in early elementary years
Ability to create reports and study analytics as it relates to the Admissions Funnel, especially regarding enrollment, yield and long term projections
Cooperative team player
