Drake University's Office of Admission seeks a dynamic individual to join our team! We are hiring an Admission Counselor to manage an assigned recruitment territory and assist in achieving the student recruitment and enrollment objectives for the university. The Admission Counselor will represent Drake University to a variety of constituents, including prospective students and parents, school counselors, and others. The Admission Counselor will work with prospective students through the entire recruitment process, from inquiry to matriculation. Candidates should have outstanding communication skills, attention to detail, and a drive to meet established goals. A current driver's license and the ability to be insured by the University's insurance carrier required. Review of applications will begin immediately. Bachelor's degree required.
Manage assigned recruitment territory to achieve enrollment goals. Responsibilities include recruitment travel in territory, building relationships with various constituencies in the territory, and report generation. The admission counselor will also assist in the development, promotion, and execution of a variety of admission recruitment events and activities, both in-person and virtually. Additionally, the admission counselor will participate in the evaluation of applications from their territory.
Manage communication within assigned recruitment territory. This can include the creation of messaging, receipt and response to phone calls, emails, social media, and other information requests.
Meet with prospective students and families during visits to Drake University. These meetings may occur in either individual or group settings.
Assist in the development of and participate in activities related to public relations and recruitment of prospective students. In addition, provide an evaluation of admission/marketing plans, policies and strategies.
Create standard and ad-hoc reports and queries from admission/registration databases. Use data to make informed decisions about territory.
