Richmont Graduate University is looking for a dynamic Admissions Counselor to join our Atlanta campus. This admissions counselor will recruit prospective students by developing networks, evaluating recruiting techniques and materials, interviewing prospective students, and initiating campaigns to induce students to attend the university.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Admissions Counselors are full-time positions that are based out of either the Atlanta or Chattanooga Richmont campus.
Requires heavy seasonal traveling responsibilities (mostly southeast) in fall and spring seasons between 10 to 25 %.
Works well independently and within a team setting.
Generates leads and cultivates relationships with prospective students.
Learns and presents the unique qualities of Richmont’s programs to prospective students in a variety of settings such as fairs, class visits, conferences, church visits, and online webinars.
Researches and plans recruiting trips including travel arrangements, hotel booking, etc.
Develops and maintains contact with prospective students, college professors, local pastors, and others; answering questions, creating awareness, and building relationships.
Manages student relationship as they matriculate from a prospect to an enrollee by aiding in the application process, answering questions, and ensuring their file is complete.
Works with the Admissions team to develop strategies for increasing enrollment.
Assists and participate in other university functions as needed. This includes, but is not limited to, admission events, orientations, and commencement activities.
Coordinates and hosts prospective graduate student visitations.
Follow processes of entering and tracking data in technology systems such as Salesforce and CAMS to keep track of paperwork, communication, and specific data regarding prospects and applicants.
Collaborate with our growing alumni network to develop new student/professional networks, garner student referrals. Alumni are to be utilized at information sessions, outreaches, and events.
Ability to follow the expectation of treating fellow employees, students and the institution’s guests with civility, and to refrain from activities that disrupt the efficient functioning of Richmont
Ability to follow directions and complete tasks accurately as well as accept supervisory input and constructive criticism.
Helps to enhance admissions department and university reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests; exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments.
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university in the field, Master’s degree preferred.
1 to 3 years of experience in higher education admissions, customer service, or sales.
Experience using Salesforce (or similar database system) is preferred.
