Position Open for Regional Admissions Counselor- California
The Regional Admissions Counselor (AC) for Northern California will reside in the CA Bay Area (Contra Costa, Alameda, or Santa Clara Counties) and will focus directly on the recruitment and enrollment of both first year and transfer students to WSU with additional focus on increasing diversity and outreach to first generation students.
Job duties include attending high school fairs, community college fairs, classroom visits, one to one appointments, participation in regional admission counselor programs and groups and other events and activities.
The Admissions Counselor works with data systems to create a comprehensive recruitment plan and personalized follow-up plan.
This position will build relationships with high school and community college counselors, parents, alumni, on-campus partners and others.
Preparation and oversight of receptions and other programs, budget responsibility, and participating in on-campus events are key functions of this position.

Positions require a Bachelor’s Degree and one (1) year of experience directly related to student services. A Master’s degree in a relevant field may be substituted for up to one (1) year of the required experience. Any combination of relevant education and experience may be substituted for the educational requirement on a year-for-year basis.
