The primary purpose of this position is to function as an admissions counselor in the office. This position will analyze requests and needs as the first point of contact for prospective students and families. In addition, the position will cultivate prospects, applicants, and admitted students through direct participation in a variety of activities and positively affect admitted students’ decisions to matriculate to UNCG. The position will articulate admissions procedures and requirements to prospective students, families, and counselors. The position will evaluate credentials and make independent decisions regarding admission to UNCG.

Minimum Qualifications:

· Bachelor’s degree
· Outstanding public speaking skills
· Outstanding customer service skills
· Computer literacy
· Ability to make research-based decisions regarding the potential for success of specific recruitment initiatives.
· Ability to make independent decisions when interpreting policy
· Ability to multitask
· Valid driver’s license

Preferred Qualifications:

· Admissions experience and/or experience working in a university setting
· Experience providing customer service in a fast-paced work environment
