Position Summary
The Director of Admissions plays a critical role in administering all aspects of the admissions process and is specifically responsible for leading and coordinating recruitment efforts. The Director plans and implements strategies for recruitment and enrollment with major responsibilities including evaluating applications for admissions, utilizing different marketing strategies and databases, and collaborating with faculty, staff, and community partners.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Provide the AVP of Enrollment Management recommendations regarding recruitment travel to continental U.S. and international markets, Hawaii high schools, on-campus events, application processing, selection, and new workflows.
- Contribute information and ideas to the team and external constituents on trends, policies, and creative ideas that will impact enrollment goals.
- With the AVP, develops a written strategic plan for recruitment, application processing, selection, and enrollment.
- Meet specific recruitment goals that are data and evidence-based and approved by the AVP.
- Supervise a team of admissions counselors
- Lead by example to ensure timely and effective business processes in an environment of professionalism and industry standards.
- Strengthen the team’s understanding of the nature of their work as it relates to meeting enrollment goals as directed by AVP.
- Work collaboratively with the enrollment management team on the implementation of all on and off-campus admissions events.
- Represent the University at on and off-campus events.
- Build successful working relationships with members of the CUH community as well as external constituents.
Education and Experience
The minimum job requirements for this position are:
- A bachelor’s degree from an accredited college/university, or equivalent and related experience; and,
- At least two (2) years of supervisor experience
- At least four (4) years of experience in Admissions office

- Experience using student information systems, client relationship management (CRM) systems, and communication technologies to recruit and enroll students;
- Experience with Slate is preferred.
- Computer Skills
- To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Database software; Internet software; Spreadsheet and Word Processing software. Working knowledge of Google and Outlook Suite.
Physical Requirements
Duties involve light work in an office and community setting and requires a minimum of physical effort with intermittent sitting, standing, climbing stairs, and walking inclines. Must be able to lift 10 pounds, walk the campus with ease, climb a lot of stairs, and have excellent motor skills. Must have finger dexterity.
Other Requirements:
Must have a valid Driver’s License. Must be able to travel off-island (inter-island and the continental United States)
