The University at Buffalo (UB) seeks an experienced, strategic, and dynamic leader to serve as the Associate Vice Provost and Director of Admissions and Enrollment (AVP/Director). The Associate Vice Provost and Director of Admissions and Enrollment is a member of the Office of Enrollment Management leadership team and will play a critical role in helping define the University’s undergraduate recruitment and enrollment goals and lead a team and strategy to ensure that those goals are met. This individual will be responsible for fostering positive relationships and maintaining the credibility of the institution with prospective students, families, faculty, staff, and other key stakeholders. In addition, the Associate Vice Provost will continue to evolve enrollment initiatives and envision and implement an admissions strategy that is forward-thinking, innovative, and dynamic, one that continues to enhance academic quality and maintain a diverse student body and elevates UB to higher levels of institutional distinction.

Reporting to and working closely with the Vice Provost for Enrollment Management, the AVP/Director will provide leadership and direction to the office of undergraduate admissions, while remaining deeply committed to shaping and advancing UB’s vision for enrollment and overall strategic goals and objectives. The AVP/Director will play a critical role in leading the undergraduate admissions office and will sustain the University’s exceptional admissions trajectory. The University has increased first-year applications by nearly 35 percent since 2013, which is the inaugural year of the Office of Enrollment Management. The next AVP/Director will be tasked with maintaining the upward trend. This individual will lead a high-performing staff of admissions professionals in the continuous improvement of their methods and processes and inspire outstanding prospective students and their families to enroll at the University at Buffalo.
