The Associate Director is a senior member of the management team in the Office of Undergraduate Admissions and Orientation. This position is responsible for the overall leadership in the use of technology and systems to maximize efficiency in the office operations.The position serves as the office lead with the Salesforce CRM, manages the processing of over 15,000 undergraduate applications (first-year, transfer, and international) plus supporting documents annually, and oversees audits and compliance requirements. The Associate Director also assists in establishing application criteria as well as application review and evaluation procedures. Critical to these functions are the statistical reports and on-going analysis of data as it relates to applicants.

The Associate Director is directly responsible for developing and maintaining expertise in and facilitating staff utilization of all office technology and systems, including Salesforce, Blackthorn, EAB Portal for TransferCentral, PeopleSoft, VizualZen Orientation, application portals, document imaging systems, and all other relevant technologies used for recruitment, admissions, events, and orientation. The position also works directly with the Office of Information Technology and third party vendors to maintain all software applications and systems including the Common App, Salesforce, PeopleSoft Student Administration, and document imagining systems.

The position serves as the Undergraduate Admissions liaison with the Office of Information Technology, the Registrar’s Office, Residential Life, Summer and Winter Programs, Student Conduct and Community Standards, and is on a number of Enrollment Management committees. In addition, the Associate Director manages a small recruitment territory which includes attending college fairs, high school and community college visits, and participates in virtual programming for students in that region. This position will also review first-year and transfer applications and render appropriate admission decisions, conduct information sessions and staff on campus events, apply university policies, and perform other duties as assigned.

There are six direct and indirect reports to this position who are responsible for application/document processing and systems management as well as working with international applicants. This position will provide direct and indirect supervision by monitoring workload, evaluating performance, and seeking opportunities for employee professional and skill development.

Starting salary is commensurate with qualifications and experience. This is a full-time position and includes full university benefits. Part time telework arrangements may be possible.
