Associate Director of Admissions

New College currently invites applications for the position of Associate Director of Admissions.
The Associate Director of Admissions (AD) is a member of the admissions leadership team and collaborates with the Executive Director of Admissions and other Associate Directors in managing all aspects of the recruitment and admissions program at New College. The AD assists in ensuring that goals and objectives for the Department of Enrollment Management, the College and the Board of Trustees are communicated and achieved.
Specific Responsibilities:
- Develop and sustain a comprehensive knowledge of and ability to articulate the value of a liberal arts and science education; the distinctive features of NCF’s academic program and areas of concentration; the off-campus study, internship, and co- and extracurricular opportunities available to students and the accomplishments of NCF graduates.
- Cultivate relationships with students, parents, counselors, NCF faculty and NCF staff.
- Direct the Welcome Center, all admissions events and campus visitation programs which hosts approximately 4,000 visitors annually across the two programs.
- Direct, plan, and implement all on-campus and off-campus admissions events in collaboration with Assistant Directors of Admissions and the campus visit and admissions events team.
- Provide visitors with a customized visit experience to fit their needs including conducting/arranging daily information sessions and providing tours for students, parents, counselors and other constituents.
- Liaise with the Office of Communications and Marketing to review all admissions-related marketing communications across print, digital and social channels.
- Supervise, train and evaluate the Assistant Director of Admissions and Admissions Coordinators.
- Manage a recruitment territory in a primary market and recruit and enroll students from that territory.
- Review admissions applications and participate regularly and actively in admissions committees to render admissions decisions.
- Ensure all admissions policies and procedures are consistent with Federal and State laws, College rules and regulations and standards of good practice as defined by the national professional associations related to admissions and campus welcome centers.
- As a custodian of student records, the AD interprets and complies with FERPA and with the State of Florida public records law.
- Track and report on the success of all admissions events and campus visit programs such as conversion and yield rates of students who participate in these programs to aid in determining the return on investments (ROI) for each activity.
- Ensure the appropriate recruitment, training, supervision and evaluation of Student Ambassadors in collaboration with the Assistant Director of Admissions.
Additional Information:
Excellent interpersonal, problem-solving, communication and project management skills. Knowledge of Microsoft computer applications. Ability to read, analyze and interpret complex documents and manage a budget including articulating financial implications and realities.
The Assistant Director of Admissions must be willing to work in excess of 40 hours per week during peak periods. The AD must be willing to travel for recruitment purposes.

Minimum Qualifications:
Master’s degree in an appropriate area of specialization and four years of appropriate experience; or a bachelor’s degree in an appropriate area of specialization and six years of appropriate experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in higher education, student personnel services or counseling.
- Experience with Technolutions’ Slate (CRM used by our department of Enrollment Management).
- Experience with admissions events and campus visit direction.
