Job Title: Admission Counselor

General purpose:Â Functions as part of a team responsible for the promotion of the college and recruitment of qualified candidates to meet enrollment goals
Summary of Essential Functions:Â
- Recruitment of qualified students to meet enrollment goals
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Evaluate first year and transfer student application materials, including portfolios of artwork, as a member of the Admission Committee
- Responsibilities include a full schedule of recruitment at high schools, 2-year colleges, regional receptions, and portfolio days in assigned regions of the country
- Assist in the development and execution of territory-based enrollment initiatives
- Assist in the development of diversity, equity and inclusion strategies, progress, and results
- Perform preliminary transfer credit evaluation for transfer applicants in assigned territory
- Make promotional presentations to groups of students, parents, art teachers, and college counselors
- Assist with on-campus and virtual recruitment events
- Conduct interviews and group information sessions
- Maintain contact with candidates, their art teachers, parents, and guidance counselors
- Counsel students and parents about admission, financial aid, and scholarship opportunities
- Assist in the planning and analysis of recruitment activities
- Additional area(s) of responsibility could include special event planning and social media initiatives
- Perform other related duties as assigned

- Excellent written and verbal communication skillsÂ
- Excellent public speaking skills
- Ability to relate to people from a variety of backgrounds
Minimum qualifications:
- Bachelorâs degree with coursework in visual arts
- Must submit Cover Letter and Resume
Preferred qualifications:
- Master Fine Art
- Teaching, sales, marketing, and college admission experience
