This position is a remote dual position working with both the Admissions Office and the Office of Special Projects. The anticipated start date will be for Fall of 2022. Below are the primary responsibilities based on the time of year:

Admissions:

• Responsible for admissions counseling, recruiting, and general administrative duties for a range of applicants including transfers, re-enrolling students, freshmen, and second-degree candidates who are from the geographical area in which assigned.
• Formulate recruitment strategies, plans and goals for the region based on demographic analyses, market research, and other admission data
• Evaluation of preliminary transferability of credit may be required.  
• Evaluate credentials of applicants to determine academic and personal compatibility with the goals and mission of Belmont University.
• Exercise knowledge of the financial aid programs available to Belmont University students and provide financial aid counseling to prospective students.  Participate in the awarding of merit-based scholarships to admitted students deemed most qualified.
• Manage, plan and implement special recruitment activities in the assigned region (Information sessions, yield events, counselor events, coffee chats)
• Develops effective and on-going relationships with personnel of secondary schools and colleges.
• Meet regularly with supervisor via Zoom to report on recruitment progress, evaluation of strategies, etc.
• Routine travel to Nashville for open house events and trainings.
• Participate in cross-functional improvement teams and initiatives.

Special Projects:

• Serve as liaison to the Office of the President to promote, coordinate, and execute special projects and events in the LA area; assist with publicity and publications as needed.
• Maintain contacts with potential ?internal and external? stakeholders who may be interested in partnerships and projects – including initiating meetings and follow up communication.
• Investigate feasibility of new programs and/or special projects; explore interests, options, success of similar programs/projects, report findings and makes recommendations.
• Provide regular status updates to leadership on critical path initiatives supporting overall objectives.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Basic knowledge of marketing and higher education.
• Ability to apply processes and policies with sensitivity.
• Superior presentation and oral and written communication skills.
• Event planning and management experience required.
• Ability to work independently and excel at time management

Experience:

•  3-5 years experience in higher education, enrollment management and/or development.
• Must possess a current valid driver's license with good driving record.
• The candidate must reside in the assigned territory region (Southern California)
