Reporting directly to Emily Engelschall, Associate Vice Chancellor for Enrollment Services, the new Director will work closely with the Associate Vice Chancellor to develop and refine innovative enrollment strategies. The successful candidate will be plugged in to the major trends of the admissions profession and higher education as a whole, exhibiting curiosity about emerging best practices and a perpetual appetite to learn. A strategic mindset is a must, as is readiness to join an office that is spearheading new concepts and approaches in undergraduate admissions.
Leading the day-to-day work of the undergraduate admissions team, and working in collaboration with campus colleagues, the Director is responsible for the implementation, execution and assessment of an ambitious goal- and mission-driven strategic plan throughout all phases of the new student recruitment, reading, admission, enrollment and matriculation processes. The Director oversees an office consisting of ~40 full-time staff members and is responsible for a $6 million budget for the office of admissions. The successful candidate will have eight to thirteen years of leadership experience in undergraduate admissions. A bachelor's degree is required, and an advanced degree is preferred.
