Are you looking for a job where you can help change people's lives? Join the admissions team at Northwestern Health Sciences University as a Senior Admissions Counselor. Here you will play a key role in helping people find a path towards something they are passionate about. You will build relationships with a high volume of prospective students, through prompt and continuous contact using multiple communication channels. The individual in this role will work closely with the admissions team to implement recruiting strategies to meet and exceed the University's enrollment goals.
This is a full-time, benefits eligible opportunity.
Work Location: Bloomington, MN with flexibility to work 1-2 days per week remotely; must live local and be able to come to campus as needed
Counsel prospective students on academic programs, admissions requirements, student life, financial aid and scholarship information.
Effectively manage day to day tasks in CRM (Salesforce/ERx)
Conduct campus tours
Support on-campus and virtual admissions events
Build relationships with school advisors, educators, and community partners
Ability to travel regularly for local admissions recruiting events. Overnight travel 2-3 times per year, up to 4 Saturdays and up to 6 weekday evenings per year to support events.
What you need to have?
Bachelor's degree in communications, sales, psychology or other related field
5+ years of higher education admissions experience
Valid Driver's License with acceptable driving record
Strong written, verbal, collaboration, and presentation communication skills
Ability to work with urgency while having a positive, can-do attitude
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Strong multitasking and time management skills
Experience with Salesforce is beneficial but not required
Physical Requirements: Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds to load and transport admissions materials, displays and other equipment when traveling.
