General Statement of Duties
The Senior Admission Counselor serves an integral role in the provision of enrollment services on the MWCC Admissions team. This position requires extensive recruitment programming and outreach from point of inquiry including: recruitment travel within and beyond the MWCC service delivery area; application and credential data entry and evaluation; campus-based interviews; general and program-specific small and large group presentations; assistance with initial course registration; and off-campus recruitment outreach to prospective students and families at local community business organizations and high schools. Duties may be performed throughout the year or during specific times of the year, depending on the student lifecycle and peak enrollment periods. Regularly established working hours are 10:00am -6:00pm, Monday -Thursday, Friday 8:00am-4:00pm. This position requires additional evening and Saturday hours during peak enrollment periods.
Responsibilities
Assist students in the phases of the enrollment life cycle from point of inquiry through initial course registration, by providing admissions counseling to students in person, and via college resources such as phone, email, text, and video chat, as scheduled or as walk-in meetings, consistent with availability as established in consultation with the Dean of Enrollment Management and Admissions;
Plan and facilitate individual and large group presentations, including Decision Days in assigned territory, to support recruitment initiatives of academic programs, admissions and financial aid process overview, and explanation of enrollment processes including connections with career services and transfer opportunities;
Assist with adult learner recruitment programming and initiatives designed to recruit career changers, readmit students, and mature learners;
Review available student test scores, transcripts and potential transfer credits, and advise students on initial academic plan preparation, course selection, and curriculum;
Serve as point of contact for student enrollment to prospective and newly enrolled students. Assist with the planning and implementation of on- and off-campus recruitment activities for prospective students and their families. Examples of such activities include: Open Houses, Academic Preview Days, Enrollment Express, Registration Events, Info Sessions, and other events as developed;
Conduct information sessions and tour programming;
Assist with the day to day activities in Admissions Office;
Work collaboratively with college faculty and staff to link transitional program students to other college offices including Advising Center, Academic Affairs, Veteran Services, Financial Aid, Career Services, and Student Success, Visions and more;
Utilize MWCC's Salesforce/TargetX CRM for recruitment purposes;
Actively participate in various enrollment and career alignment events;
Assist with the development of new recruitment initiatives based on recruitment and enrollment funnel trends, qualitative and quantitative research from high schools and school counselors.
Register students into appropriate first semester courses as needed in consultation with advising principals of college;
Serve as Admissions liaison when serving MWCC on institutional committees.

Job Requirements:
Minimum Qualifications:
Master's degree in Business Management, Marketing, Public Relations, Education, Counseling, Psychology, or closely related field;
Two (2) years experience and/or training that includes marketing, public relations, college admissions, credit evaluation, and academic counseling/advisement; or
An equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS
Must possess and maintain a valid driver's license.
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Bilingual Spanish/English strongly preferred.

Salary: $52,754.00- $89,919**
