Kettering University seeks a strategic, successful, and collaborative leader and mentor as their Director of Enrollment. The Director will join Kettering’s newly invigorated enrollment leadership team, demonstrating both wisdom and creativity in the recruitment of a robust and diverse undergraduate and graduate student body. In addition to a deep appreciation for the intense academic curriculum, the Director will share a passion for Kettering’s authentically unique cooperative education program in which students gain extensive, professional experience beginning their first year, and throughout there is equal emphasis paid to classroom and laboratory learning and work experience. The Director will lead the admissions team in understanding and articulating the hallmarks of Kettering’s educational experience, as well as the benefits and exceptional outcomes enjoyed by Kettering graduates.

QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS AND CHARACTERISTICS The successful candidate must have a bachelor’s degree. Additionally, this role requires a minimum of seven years of progressively responsible admissions/enrollment experience. An advanced degree is preferred as is previous experience in STEM recruitment initiatives.

A confident, self-directed enrollment leader with a clear understanding of demographic trends, expectations of students and families, and shifting consumer perceptions and behaviors across marketing, admission and higher educational costs.
Excellent technology skills, expertise in leveraging the features of a CRM (Target X SalesForce), and experience in business process analysis to improve efficiency, access to data, communication, and the student experience.
Experienced in using data to monitor progress, inform plans, identify challenges and opportunities, and lead others in taking strategic and tactical action; ability to train others in the use of data, developing a culture of access and transparency in data-informed decision-making.
Past success in developing data-driven, compelling, impactful multi-channel communication plans.
Experience supervising, managing, training, and motivating a diverse team of admissions officers and administrative support staff, with a commitment to developing a highly sophisticated team and dynamic culture of learning and development.
Supportive, approachable management style with a propensity to advocate for, motivate, and mentor a hard-working team and foster a culture of kindness, trust, and care.
