The USC Dornsife College of Letters, Arts and Sciences is seeking a self-motivated, enthusiastic professional to serve as an Assistant Director for Dornsife Admission and Student Success. The Assistant Director will assist with recruitment, outreach, and support strategies for undergraduate admission and retention efforts within USC Dornsife. The ideal candidate will be detail oriented and organized, and will be a strong communicator (both in written and oral communication).
Duties for this position may include:
Participating in the planning and execution of recruitment and conversion events for undergraduate admission efforts.
Counseling prospective undergraduate students regarding university admission policies and procedures.
Communicating in person, by telephone, and in writing with students about the status of admission and scholarship applications.
Working collaboratively with a team of staff members and undergraduate student volunteers on projects and events related to undergraduate admission and retention efforts.
Assisting with data collection and reporting.
Assisting in the preparation of communication materials promoting programs and events.
Staying current on a wide range of university policies, school-wide policies, and educational trends affecting undergraduate students, admission, and retention efforts.
Minimum Education: Bachelorâs degree. Combined experience/education as substitute for minimum education
Minimum Field of Expertise: Counseling skills and/or academic advisement experience
Preferred Qualifications:
Strong background in public speaking and both written and oral communication
Experience with MS Office software
Ability to set priorities to complete tasks in the face of changing priorities
Hourly range: The hourly rate range for this position is $27 - $28.
