The Senior Admissions Counselor will assist incoordinating the admissions process on the Framingham campus, including bothgeneral admissions to all degrees and certificates and also selective admissionto specialized programs. The individual will perform student admissions,advising, and administrative work. Specifically, the individual will beresponsible for managing the admissions process for prospective and admittedRadiologic Technology and Surgical Technology students, including evaluatingadmissions applications, meeting with applicants, estimating transfer credits,recruiting students, and processing and maintaining documentation. TheCounselor will be expected to work some evening or weekend hours forrecruitment activities, information sessions, and special events, or duringpeak times.

KeyResponsibilities and Duties:

• Assist in coordinating the college admission process for the Divisions of Health Sciences, Humanities, Social Science and Professional Studies (SSPS), Science Technology Engineering and Math (STEM), and Transportation and Energy;
• Manage the admissions lifecycle for Radiologic Technology, Surgical Technology, and Central Processing Technology students, including:
  

-Evaluating applications of prospective students;

-Receiving transcripts from other colleges and estimating transfer credits: determining which courses/credits can be transferred to student's current program;

-Determining eligibility and acceptance of applicants into selective Health Sciences programs;

-Evaluating readmission applications for Health Sciences applicants for program eligibility;

-Presenting qualified candidates to admissions committees directed by Health Sciences faculty;

-Promoting MassTransfer program and specialized Health Sciences articulation agreements;

• Attend quarterly planning meetings and collaborate with the Academic & Transfer Advising Center to ensure expeditious and accurate Admissions/Advising services to all pre-health students;
• Participate in recruitment activities and provide information on college opportunities, admission policies, and procedures as well as activities such as:

-Providing information to prospects, applicants, and students via telephone, e-mail, website, walk-in visits, or scheduled appointments;

-Working with program coordinators to promote programs and recruit students;

-Organizing information sessions, presentations, and recruitment activities;

-Delivering oral presentations and travel to recruitment sites;

-Collaborating with select local high schools and community-based organizations on admission activities relating to recruitment, testing, and registration of students;

• Assist international students with completion of admissions applications/documentation;
• Promote Dual Enrollment/Early Admissions Agreement through recruitment activities;
• Assist in the evaluation of policies and procedures as they pertain to the Office of Admissions;
• Promote services and academic pathways through Corporate Partnerships and Workforce Development;
• Perform administrative tasks associated with department activities;
• Interact with various agencies/individuals:

Attend meeting and serve on committees, participate in open houses, career panels, and information sessions, communicate with supervisor, employees, other departments, current/prospective students, parents, faculty members, other educational facilities, the public, outside agencies and other individual to coordinate activities, review status of work, exchange information, or resolve problems;

• May coordinate work of assigned work-study students or other support staff;
• Maintain professional knowledge in applicable areas through professional development;
• Other duties as assigned and in accordance with the Collective Bargaining Agreement.

Required Qualifications:

Master'sdegree in Education, Business Management, Marketing, Public Relations,Counseling, Psychology, or closely related field; with two (2) years'experience and/or training that includes marketing, public relations, collegeadmissions, credit evaluation, and academic counseling/advisement; or anequivalent combination of education, training, and experience.

• Experience working with criteria-based Health Sciences programs;
• Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite: Word, Excel, SharePoint, Teams, OneDrive;
• Experience with PeopleSoft, or experience with similar student information system;
• Experience utilizing Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system;
• Bilingual in Portuguese or Spanish;
• Excellent communication skills;
• Excellent interpersonal and conflict management skills;
• Ideal candidate will be committed to the mission of the community college and demonstrate the ability to work effectively with professional, non-professional, and student personnel.

SpecialRequirements:

Mustpossess and maintain a valid Massachusetts driver's license and have access toa reliable motor vehicle in order to visit recruitment sites and conduct otherwork activities.

Additional Information:

Salary Range: $53,590 - $60,679, in accordance with one'seducation and experience as dictated by the collective bargaining agreementclassification compensation structure.
