The Assistant Director of International Admissions is an innovative and energetic leader that is responsible for international student recruitment that will meet enrollment goals. This position provides leadership in the development, implementation and evaluation of recruitment policies and procedures. Works closely with the Applications Coordinator to ensure timely communication and supervises an International Admissions Counselor.This is a full time, on-campus position. Responsibilities:
Create international student recruitment plan that will meet enrollment goals; define and assign counselor application and deposit goals; provide guidance and training for international counselor; develop and maintain relationships with high school guidance counselors; supervise international admissions counselor
Understand and share the mission, vision, programs, majors and extra-curricular offerings of IWU with prospective students; interview prospective students with recommendations for merit aid and acceptance; process admission decisions; work with coaches to assist prospective student athletes with the enrollment process; serve as liaison between faculty, academic programs and prospective students; work as liaison between prospective students and financial aid
Complete and evaluate reports related to recruitment, projections, conversions; use Slate CRM to manage recruitment territory, inquiries, applicants, admits and deposits; use Capture forecasting tool to prioritize outreach to students; oversee the above work and evaluate it for employee success of direct reports
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree and minimum of three years’ admissions experience
Knowledge of international recruiting for US institutions, college search process and financial aid best practices
Responsible for an international travel territory, with overnight, weeknight, and weekend travel/responsibilities with extensive travel during the recruitment season; reliable personal transportation necessary
Valid Driver’s License required
Able to lift objects up to 25 lbs.
This position will not provide immigration advising, but will collaborate with the International Office.
