Position Summary:
Cardozo School of Law is seeking a part-time admissions coordinator to join the J.D. Admissions team. The coordinator will assist with the organization, execution, and promotion of all recruitment events both on-and off-campus; processing of applications and supporting documents; managing office inventory; and general administrative tasks and office support.
Position Responsibilities:
Assists with organizing, promoting, and coordinating admissions recruitment events.
Primarily responsible for the mailing and shipment of recruitment materials and brochures for law fairs and other recruitment events.
Organize and maintain admissions publications.
Assists with the delivery of electronic correspondence and messaging to prospective students.
Assist with J.D. admissions processing and supporting documents.
Responsible for data entry, assisting with release of electronic decisions, and transmission of admissions data to other University systems (i.e. Banner).
Responsible for general office support, including answering office telephone calls and greeting visitors.
Takes on special projects and additional responsibilities as requested by the Dean of Admissions and admissions counselors.
The admission coordinator must be a team player, a problem-solver, and possess excellent organization and communication skills.
Strong computer skills and attention to detail are essential.
Experience & Educational Background:
Bachelor's degree required and 1-2 years prior related experience.
Skills & Competencies:
Extremely well-organized and strong computer literacy.
Adeptness at learning new programs and systems.
Ability to effectively communicate verbally and in writing.
Ability to develop effective relationships with colleagues, students, and other law and University employees.
A team player who accepts direction and has the ability to work well independently and manage their own time.
Must have the competency to assume responsibility for tasks and take a project through completion.
Seeks to apply technology and innovation to improve efficiency and solve problems.
