Job Description Leads and directs the recruitment activities in a specific recruitment territory. Visits high schools and outreach sights representing The Ohio State University at Newark, making formal presentations and answering questions regarding admission, financial aid, academic and extracurricular programs on campus. Counsels and corresponds with potential undergraduate and transfer students, applicants and enrollees. Administrative responsibilities include supervising our telecounseling programs one evening each week, playing an important role in the office's involvement in orientation, overseeing our website updates, serving as backup to Transfer Counselor as needed, and organizing and leading high school group visits to campus. Assists the admissions team in planning for the future by using a student-centered, data-driven, innovative and creative approach. Minimum Education Required Bachelor's Level Degree or equivalent combination of education and experience Additional Education Desired Master's Degree Required Qualifications Required: bachelor's degree in an appropriate field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience; experience in counseling or college admission is required. Preferred: master's degree in an appropriate field; three year's professional admissions experience; higher education professional experience.
