The International Admissions Coordinator supports the mission of the university by assisting all prospective international students in the evaluation of admissions criteria & international coursework, including Global Gateway students, direct admit freshmen, and transfer students. This position supports the mission through international recruitment, working with students from point of inquiry to final matriculation in order to meet the enrollment goals of Baylor University. The International Admissions Coordinator will report to the Associate Director of International Admissions.
A Bachelor's degree and 2 years of relevant work experience are required. A Master's degree and 4 years of relevant work experience are preferred.
A combination of education and experience will be considered in lieu of one another.

Administrative skills: Superior organization and ability to handle and apply complex information. Must be able to create and innovate systems and processes to support large volumes of applications to be completed and reviewed within very short timeframes.
Extensive international travel experience. Must be able to travel outside United States. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to work both autonomously and in a team environment. Candidates must be very familiar with and enthusiastic about Baylor. Strong social skills are required and the individual must be able to meet people easily and adjust quickly to varying situations. Travel, including nights and weekends, is an expectation of the position and all candidates must be able to travel outside of the United States. Candidates must have a high energy level and be able to work under strict deadlines. Self-motivation, a team attitude, and a consistent commitment to a high standard of excellence are essential to this position.
Written and verbal full fluency in several languages (Mandarin, Korean, Arabic most preferred). Has experience living abroad.

What You Will Do
Independently develop & execute a strategic travel plan (8-10 weeks) to visit countries within territory. Plan all high school visits by working with high school counselors, alumni, & other constituent groups. Aggressively identify new outreach markets.
Implement communication campaigns to accelerate students through the enrollment funnel. Manage a large volume of daily correspondence while offering top-notch customer service. Meet with prospective students in office visits and give tours.
Responsible to meet yearly enrollment goals as they impact net tuition revenue for the University. Independently manage an international geographic territory and strategically work with students to convert inquiries to applicants and to increase yield.
Accurately input data using advanced knowledge of Slate to complete and audit application files. Using advanced knowledge of Excel, maximize applicant potential within territory. Use advanced query skills to build individualized recruiting reports.
Be an expert on all international admissions policies and procedures; maintain a wealth of information about Baylor's academic/social/spiritual opportunities so as to personally & persuasively recruit students & tailor messaging to achieve goals.
Assist in creating& staffing outstanding on-campus events. Memorize scripts as assigned for various presentations and events. Deliver admissions presentations using advanced public speaking skills for groups ranging in size from 5-500+.
Counsel students& parents regarding final college decisions as they navigate through a complex & competitive process using advanced listening and counseling skills. Review complete files, make admission/rejection recommendations to admission committee.
Manage on-going international projects and assignments as necessary with speed, accuracy, and flexibility to meet diverse and often competing enrollment goals.
Strategically identify areas to host recruitment events. Travel and serve as host at events throughout the year. Develop new initiatives and events specific to the needs of key international areas.
Responsible for planning and maintaining a travel budget as assigned to the territory. Accountable for knowing Baylor's legal travel policies and adhering to all university policies and procedures.
Serve as a liaison to an Academic School or College, maintaining close contact and relaying information to the counseling staff. Assist New Student Programs/Center of Global Engagement/Financial Aid to help serve students.
