The university is seeking a qualified candidate that demonstrates exceptional coaching abilities in basketball and will be placed, based on preference and demonstrated history of success, for the Women’s basketball team. The successful candidate must also possess qualifications for a collateral assignment in the Admissions Office as a Multicultural Admissions Counselor.
These unique positions will be a deployed as an established champion for the basketball teams and leading Athletics Department initiatives to promote a more diverse and inclusive environment for employees and student-athletes by aligning recruitment efforts in Admissions as well as promoting and fostering diversity, equity, and inclusion in UWL’s Athletics Department. The successful candidate will need to have demonstrated a successful career of working with student-athletes and employees of every background on enhancing their awareness and commitment to inclusion efforts.
? Bachelor’s Degree. ? Basketball coaching or playing experience at high school, club, or collegiate level. ? Strong interpersonal and communication skills such as excellent written and public speaking. ? Experience working with students from diverse backgrounds ? Ability to lift/transport materials up to 35lbs. ? Ability to foster a cooperative work environment. ? Valid driver’s license.
? Knowledge of NCAA Division III and WIAC rules. ? Collegiate coaching or playing experience. ? Collegiate recruiting experience. ? Strong organizational and event planning skills ? Ability to adapt and manage multiple competing priorities ? Ability to use and learn multiple computer technologies (such as Peoplesoft, ImageNow, TargetX CRM, Microsoft Office) ? Experience in marketing, admissions or a related area of higher education
