This position is responsible for coordinating in-person and on-campus visit experiences for prospective students, parents and groups as they navigate the college search process. Working closely with the admissions team, faculty, staff, athletic coaches, and students will prove to be an essential element in creating a positive experience for the campus visit. This is a pivotal part of the process that often initiates the next step of applying or enrolling at Xavier University of Louisiana. The candidate will also co-manage the student ambassador program for the Office of Admissions while assisting with planning of admissions events throughout the calendar year. This is a non-exempt position reporting to the Senior Associate Director of Admissions, with a focus on recruiting high achieving students. This position will serve in an admissions counselor role as needed to assist in day-to-day office functions is also responsible for aiding in local recruitment initiatives and serves as the primary liaison for the One Stop Shop department in affiliation with the Office of Enrollment Management. as an admissions counselor to fill-in day-to-day office functions. Demonstrated organization and planning skills; strong follow-up and follow-through skills to ensure timely, within-budget completion of goals and objectives.
Proven ability to identify and resolve problems in a timely, creative and positive manner.
Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment with demonstrated ability to effectively prioritize multiple competing tasks and demands.
Computer proficiency, particularly in MS Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel.
