General Statement of Duties:
Under general direction, the purpose of the classification is to perform recruitment of prospective CNA to LPN Walkway eligible students under MWCC's Nursing Expansion Pathways Grant. Employees in this classification perform recruitment, marketing, and advisory work. Classification is responsible for recruiting prospective CNA to LPN Walkway students, assisting prospective adult learners with degree/career discernment, assisting students with the admissions process, and connecting prospective students with student financial resources during the onboarding process. Performs related work as directed.
The CNA to LPN Walkway Navigator will serve as an integral member of the Enrollment Management team in recruitment of students, working to promote outreach to community business and healthcare organizations, returning students and family members, and other partners outside the college. The CNA to LPN Walkway Navigator will assist with information sessions for prospective CNA to LPN Walkway students on MWCC campuses and via Zoom. In this position, the Navigator will have an integral role in the daily operation of health programs recruitment activities on- and off-campus. The Navigator will work out of the Admissions CRM database to maintain accurate recruitment and outreach records. The Navigator will assist with access to student financial services and FAFSA support initiatives as developed to support adult CNA to LPN Walkway prospects through their initial enrollment onboarding at MWCC, and positively impact CNA to LPN Walkway recruitment throughout the student lifecycle up to and including the application process for the LPN program. Position will require travel and occasional evening and Saturday work hours.
This is a Full Time/Temporary position. Grant ends on 6/30/25.
Responsibilities:
Promote CNA to LPN academic programs to prospective students, including those eligible for MASS Reconnect (free community college);
Assist with on campus recruitment events designed for adult learners/prospective CNA to LPN Walkway students;
Support recruitment programming at Community Business Organizations for CNA to LPN Walkway approved academic programs
Conduct initial admissions and student financial services outreach to adult learners for prospective CNA to LPN Walkway students and families;
Promotion of recruitment and student financial services events;
Assist with student outreach to CNA to LPN Walkway eligible students via the CRM throughout the admissions advising;
Meet with prospective CNA to LPN Walkway students, to promote awareness of careers related to program and course selection;
Explain career and transfer grids to prospective CNA to LPN Walkway students as part of their introduction to MWCC;
Help with transitions to college by connecting prospective students and applicants with Student Financial Services, advising on financial aid requirements, multiple measures, and the admissions process;
Other outreach as determined by the Admissions team;
Work collaboratively with Senior Admissions Counselors and Admissions Coordinator to develop strategies for attracting prospective CNA to LPN Walkway students;
Work collaboratively with Admissions, Advising, Career and Transfer, and Division of Nursing and Health Sciences to address prospective student career exploration and academic needs;
Maintain required documentation.

Job Requirements:
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Education, Counseling, Psychology, Organizational Behavior, Sociology, Liberal Arts, or closely related field;
Two (2) years experience and/or training involving public education, college admissions, academic advisement, or customer service; or
An equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
Desired Qualifications:
Bilingual/Bicultural
2 years experience with career counseling

**** Actual Salary determined by education, experience, and any applicable grant limitations per the collective bargaining agreement. Applicants should be aware it is unlikely the salary will be at or near the top of the range.
