Duties include, but are not limited to:
Manages the planning and execution of all campus visits and recruitment/enrollment events that occur on-campus, off-campus and virtually. Develops an annual timeline and planning manual for each event, conducts an annual assessment for program improvement. Manages the event budget adhering to department, state, and University guidelines.
Represents the Admissions Office and University at major functions both in- and out-of-state to promote the University to a variety of constituents in a positive and professional manner. Develops a territory management plan which outlines strategies to meet enrollment targets by geographic region.
Provides supervision and leadership to the admissions events and campus visits units within the department. Plans, assigns, directs, and evaluates the work of direct reports, ensuring that quality work is accomplished.
Ensures that the department provides campus visitors a high-quality, positive, and energetic visit experience that is tailored to their needs and provides an experience that encourages an application for admission and ultimate decision to enroll at the University. Oversee the management of the tour guide program.
Evaluates admissions applications for appropriate decisions under established criteria and guidelines. Provides ongoing contact with assigned applicant pool to ensure file completion, acceptance, and matriculation.

Student Services Manager I (CB75/61121741), full-time position with benefits. SC State Pay Band: 06. Salary range: $60,000.00 - $70,000.00. Normal work hours are Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Must be flexible to meet the special scheduling needs of the university.
Required Qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree. At least three (3) years of progressive experience in undergraduate admissions or student recruitment at a post-secondary institution. Supervisory experience is required.
Preferred Qualifications: Master’s Degree. Experience preferred in: data assessment and analysis; budgetary/fiscal management; event planning; and territory management to include application review and recruitment travel.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities: Must possess strong written and oral communication skills; an ability to build collaborative relationships; strong public relations skills; strong supervisory skills; excellent computer competency skills; outstanding organizational skills; knowledge of major event planning at a post-secondary institution; and the ability to develop and implement recruitment programs which drive enrollment (campus tours, visitation days, on- and off-campus admitted student events, school counselor luncheons, virtual programs, etc.). Must be able to work evenings and weekends. This individual will be required to travel both in-state and out-of-state.
