General Statement of Duties:
This particular job posting is a "Pool" position. There may or may not be available openings at this time however, when an opening does occur, the hiring manager will draw from the pool of applicants we have on file on an as needed basis. Under general direction, the purpose of the classification is to perform recruitment and advisement of college students. Employees in this classification perform recruitment, marketing, and advisory work. Classification is responsible for recruiting prospective students, advising students on degree/career programs, assisting students with the admissions process, and assisting in developing/implementing marketing strategies for recruitment of students. Performs related work as directed.
The Part Time Admissions Recruiter will serve as an integral member of the Admissions team in recruitment of high school students, working to coordinate outreach to high school counselors, students and family members, and other community business organizations outside the college. The Part Time Admissions Recruiter will work with the Admissions team to develop and implement high school recruitment visits to MWCC. In this position, s/he will have an integral role in the daily operation of recruitment activities on- and off-campus. The Admissions Recruiter will work out of the Admissions CRM database maintain a student caseload. The Recruiter will implement other projects as developed to increase the awareness of MWCC, increase student application and financial preparedness, and positively impact recruitment in all MWCC programs at all campuses. Position will require travel and occasional evening and Saturday work hours.
Responsibilities:
Promote academic programs to high school students and adult learners (as needed);
Coordinate on campus recruitment events;
Coordinate MWCC Admissions meetings;
Support recruitment programs for Pre-Healthcare Academy and Dual Enrollment programs
Coordinate other outreach plans for high school counselors and prospective families;
Promotion of recruitment events and careers planning;
Meet with secondary and current MWCC students, to advise on careers and course selection;
Explain career grids to students and encourage those who plan to attend community college to utilize articulations;
Help with transitions from high school to college by connecting prospective students and applicants with Student Financial Services, advising on financial aid requirements, multiple measures, and the admissions process;
Other outreach as determined by the Admissions team;
Advise students on enrollment processes, including the develop of academic goals, evaluate student's academic history and introduce students to resources available throughout the college;
Work collaboratively with Senior Admissions Counselors to develop strategies for attracting prospective students;
Work collaboratively with Admissions, Advising, Career and Transfer teams to address prospective student career exploration and academic needs;
Manage assigned recruitment territory via Salesforce/TargetX;
Maintain required documentation;
Communicate prospective student needs and concerns to Dean of Enrollment Management as needed.
Job Requirements:
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Education, Counseling, Psychology, Organizational Behavior, Sociology, Liberal Arts, or closely related field;
Two (2) years' experience and/or training involving college admissions, recruitment, public higher education, academic advisement, or customer service; or
An equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
Valid Driver's license.

Additional Information:
Salary: $33.95-44.55 per hour based on Interval- Professional Staff Member (Eff 7/2024)
