Job Purpose The Associate Director, Admissions and Community Success Initiatives plans, develops, and implements strategies for undergraduate student recruitment and yield. In addition to serving on the leadership team, the Associate Director will be accountable for leading select strategic enrollment priorities and will leverage data to make informed decisions on strategies for recruitment, admission, and yielding of prospective students and to enhance and streamline admissions processes in support of prioritizing the student experience. The Associate Director, Admissions and Community Success Initiatives will partner with colleagues across the university and with campus student experience professionals to develop recruitment efforts, pipeline programs and activities to enhance enrollment and create a sense of belonging for non-traditional and diverse students.

Leadership and Management of Admissions Counselors and Student Assistants - 25% -Provide leadership and direction to the undergraduate admissions team, including admissions counselors, recruiters, and support staff. -Supervise and mentor admissions staff, conduct performance evaluations, and provide professional development opportunities.
Lead community engagement initiatives - 20% -Promote and support community engagement initiatives for recruitment and enrollment within the admissions department, ensuring a welcoming and supportive environment for all students.
Lead Detroit Recruitment - 20% -Develop and implement a comprehensive recruitment strategy for the Detroit metropolitan area to attract and enroll a diverse pool of prospective students. -Build and maintain strong relationships with high schools, community colleges, community organizations, and educational partners in the Detroit area. -Represent the institution at college fairs, high school visits, and community events in Detroit.
Lead Regional Recruitment - 10% -Oversee regional recruitment efforts beyond Detroit, identifying target regions and developing outreach plans. -Collaborate with admissions staff to execute regional recruitment activities, including travel to targeted regions, as necessary. -Monitor and analyze regional recruitment data to assess the effectiveness of strategies and make data-driven improvements.
Admissions Strategy and Planning - 5% -Collaborate with the Senior Director of Undergraduate Admissions to develop and execute the overall admissions strategy and enrollment plan. -Use data and market research to identify trends, opportunities, and challenges in the admissions landscape.
Communication and Outreach - 5% -Develop and maintain effective communication strategies to engage prospective students, parents, and high school counselors. Coordinate marketing and communication efforts related to Detroit and regional recruitment.
Compliance and Reporting - 5% -Ensure compliance with all relevant admissions policies, regulations, and accreditation standards. Prepare regular reports on recruitment efforts, outcomes, and key performance indicators.
Budget Management - 5% -Manage the budget allocated to Detroit and regional recruitment efforts, ensuring efficient and responsible allocation of resources.

Job Purpose
Director, Enrollment Management Marketing and Communications oversees all marketing around undergraduate admissions. Serves as a strategic partner in enrollment marketing for master’s and certificate programs and collaborates with all graduate programs who manages their own marketing enrollment plans.
This role will lead marketing efforts for Enrollment Management, supporting the Office of Undergraduate Admissions and Office of Student Financial Aid. The Director will have direct oversight of the Enrollment Management communications team.
The Director will manage staff, develop and deliver marketing and other critical communications to prospective students and families, and collaborate with various university stakeholders, including Marketing and Communications (MAC) and Academic Communications. The Director will demonstrate knowledge of best practices within the profession and stay current with higher education trends. The Director will serve as a lead thought partner on strategy develo...pment related to recruitment communication for graduate level enrollment efforts. The Director will report to the Vice Provost for Enrollment Management, with a dotted line report to the Assistant Vice President for Strategic Operations and Academic Communications.
