Augusta University, a public research university and academic medical center in Augusta, Georgia, seeks a collaborative student-centered seasoned admissions leader for their next Director of Undergraduate Admissions.
Reporting to the Associate Vice President for Enrollment Management, the Director of Undergraduate Admissions (Director) leads the Office of Undergraduate Admissions with a strategic and collaborative approach. The role requires strong leadership, effective communication, technological proficiency, and a deep commitment to student success and educational excellence. The successful candidate for this position will be an experienced admissions leader and a skilled manager who develops connections with both internal and external constituents with a student-centric approach. The Director drives recruitment efforts in alignment with Augusta’s strategic plan, working with campus partners to recruit and enroll a diverse and academically strong undergraduate student body, which includes first-year, dual-enrolled, transfer, international, non-degree, and returning students.
Responsibilities for the Director of Undergraduate Admissions include but are not limited to the following:
Lead strategic recruitment and enrollment growth by developing and executing a comprehensive, data-informed recruitment strategy that supports Augusta University’s strategic enrollment goals, including the ambitious target of 16,000 students by 2030.
Build and empower a high-performing team, foster a culture of collaboration, accountability, and professional growth. This includes mentoring staff, encouraging participation in professional organizations and advocating for the team’s needs.
Drive operational excellence and technology integration through strong understanding of the full enrollment management lifecycle, deep expertise in Slate CRM, and the ability to collaborate with IT, institutional research, and other administrative units to optimize systems and processes.
Foster institutional collaboration and student-centered practices by being a visible presence and key connector across campus and in the community, working closely with leaders in Financial Aid, Advisement, Student Affairs, and other departments to ensure a seamless and supportive student experience.
