The work of an admissions counselor assures that enrollment goals are met. Admissions counselors participate as active members of the recruitment team, where they identify, recruit and enroll prospective students. In addition to recruiting, evaluating and selecting, and counseling prospective students, this admissions counselor will have a focus on diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives in the office. They will also develop relationships and collaborate with community-based and Goucher organizations to aid in the recruitment of diverse student populations.

Salary Range: $37,766 - $44,431
Manage a multi-state recruitment territory by representing the college to prospective students, families, secondary school counselors, and other key stakeholders involved in the college selection process. Plan and implement recruitment activities for assigned high schools and community-based organizations in the form of school visits, college fairs, and speaking engagements. Evaluate applications and make admissions decisions from assigned recruitment territory.
Coordinate diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives in the recruitment of students from traditionally underrepresented populations. Develop relationships with community-based organizations as another avenue for recruitment of diverse student populations. Facilitate engagement with colleagues and campus partners to recruit traditionally underrepresented populations.
Counsel prospective students and other individuals from inquiry through matriculation through in-person conversations or via phone, web-based platforms, email, and texts.
Collaborate with the LAUNCH Network by serving on LAUNCH Network Advisory Board, related subcommittees, and assist with recruitment efforts.
