The Associate Director of Graduate and Online Admissions for Rowan Global, in the Division of Strategic Enrollment Management, leads strategic front-line communication and prospective student outreach, customer service management and optimization efforts, application intake and management processes, and recruitment event activities, playing a critical role in helping the University achieve critical enrollment objectives, academic program priorities, and financial targets.
Reporting to the Director of Graduate and Online Admissions, the Associate Director is responsible for helping lead coordination of admission and recruitment efforts, including prospective student outreach and ongoing consultation, for Rowan’s incoming graduate, online, and non-traditional undergraduate students, including leading strategy development for a range of in-person and virtual recruitment activities. The Associate Director will support expansion and optimize recruitment processes by collaborating with academic program coordinators, members of the marketing team, and peers and leadership across the Division of Strategic Enrollment Management.
In support of the mission and purpose of Rowan University, the Associate Director of Graduate and Online Admissions supervises, trains, mentors, and motivates the Rowan Global Admissions customer support and application processing staff to attain or surpass campus enrollment goals by providing excellent, student-centric customer service. The Associate Director will work with teammates to assess current practices, and will help implement new, technology-enhanced and data-driven admissions approaches.
Primary Responsibilities
Supervise professional customer service and application processing teams within Rowan Global Admissions.
Coordinate and attend recruitment events including information sessions, external on-site events, campus events, and open houses.
Conduct analyses of, and provide leadership with reports, detailing results of outreach and campaigns.
Serve as a backup to Admissions Counselors in responding to prospective student inquiries and walk-in appointments.
Provide strategic target audience insights to the marketing team, and assist in the creation of program marketing materials.
Provide support to the Director of Admissions for Rowan Global by evaluating current customer service, recruitment, and application intake processes and identifying opportunities for additional optimization and innovation.
Work with University Analytics, Systems, & Applications (ASA) team to develop and maintain a deep knowledge of student and program data codes and attributes, and to coordinate processes to retrieve and manage this data.
Ensure members of the Global Admissions team are trained and stay current with Rowan's Information Systems (Banner SIS, Slate CRM) and policies, and are able to consistently, accurately enter, update, and maintain applicant materials and student records.
Assist with streamlining admissions operations and application processing through automation and consolidation of systems.
Facilitate the process of developing or updating academic programs via the Rowan Global Academic Program Review Portal.
Create and maintain documentation of academic program information, including policies, admission requirements, curricular details, and enrollment capacity.
Develop and maintain close working relationships with key constituents involved in admissions processing, student advising, CRM system management, and academic program development.
Research and maintain current knowledge of policy and regulations governing online, graduate, and transfer admissions.
Help coordinate current and new recruitment and yield initiatives to promote prospective student knowledge of services, networking opportunities, market relevance, and faculty expertise for Rowan Global programs.
Other duties as assigned by the Director of Graduate and Online Admissions.
Qualifications
Required
Bachelor's Degree, Master’s preferred
Minimum five years of experience in university admissions, recruitment, or enrollment management.
Strong record of successful outcomes in the achievement of enrollment goals.
Natural communicator with strong motivational skills and the ability to support operational goals and meet objectives.
Strong technical, organizational, and data management skills.
Outstanding written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present dynamically to a variety of constituencies.
Demonstrated commitment and ability to work with a diverse group of students, faculty, staff, and constituents in support of campus and department mission.
Ability to manage diverse tasks with frequent interruptions and to meet deadlines with competing demands.
Ability to build and manage productive relationships with both internal stakeholders and external vendors and partners.
Exceptional listening and comprehension skills, with a strong interpersonal skills and experience working across teams to achieve objectives.
Ability to work evenings and weekends, as needed.
Willingness and ability to travel locally.
Preferred
Experience working with graduate and non-traditional undergraduate students.
Understanding of compliance and regulations related to recruitment and admissions processes.
Knowledge of the Ellucian Banner system.
Knowledge of the Slate CRM system.
Experience integrating technology systems into business practice.
