Westminster University, a private, independent and comprehensive university with a liberal arts foundation in Salt Lake City, Utah, serving students for nearly 150 years, is seeking a new Vice President of Enrollment Management (VPEM). The VPEM will join Westminster at a transformative time, working closely with President Bethami (Beth) Dobkin, to help shape an institution around pillars of academic quality, student access and success, and distinctive learning experiences. This transformation includes a new approach to integrated wellness, outdoor learning, and inclusive leadership, which has been broadly conceived and integrated into the curriculum. Additionally, Westminster has launched a signature undergraduate student experience, “WestX,” and continues the expansion of graduate and professional programs.
Compensation Westminster offers a competitive compensation package, including relocation assistance, and a salary commensurate with qualifications and experience. The range identified for this role is $170,000-$190,000. In this important leadership position, the successful candidate will have an active on-campus presence.

Qualifications and Characteristics The new Vice President should be an innovative and collaborative enrollment management leader with a distinctive record of achievement, including expertise in designing, implementing, and managing enrollment and financial aid processes.
The successful candidate must have a bachelor’s degree (a master’s degree is preferred) and significant experience in a leadership and managerial role in a higher education setting. In addition, the Vice President should demonstrate the following qualifications, skills, and abilities:
Proven leadership ability to attract, develop, and empower talented managers and teams that embrace continuous improvement and exceptional service to potential and current students, parents and institutional colleagues; willingness to build and support an environment of collaboration and excellence in the enrollment management unit;
Experience in developing strategic financial aid leveraging models;
Demonstrated success in building a strong data and measurement function that leverages the use of technology and analysis of data; ability to summarize, and present complex data to various constituencies;
Ability to develop and implement a comprehensive vision and strategy around undergraduate, graduate, and professional school enrollment;
Track record of building and sustaining a student body aligned with a deep understanding of the educational value of a diverse community;
Executive leadership skills including visionary leadership, strategic thinking, commitment to excellent services, and an innovative spirit with a commitment to promote excellence in education;
A high level of transparency which allows for excellent partnership and consensus-building within a highly collaborative environment;
Understanding of the relationship between recruitment and retention, and experience collaborating with units across campus to promote student success and inclusive excellence across the student experience.
Experience in leveraging an existing brand to attract, admit, and enroll a diverse pool of qualified students and achieve enrollment goals; and
Fluency in software systems that support recruitment, admission review, financial aid management, and student success.
