The Roxbury Latin School seeks to appoint an Associate or Co-Director of College Guidance beginning in the summer of 2026 or before. Among other duties, this position entails guiding a group of Roxbury Latin boys through the college selection and application process each year, including working closely with boys to build college lists; writing personalized recommendations; providing feedback to students on their college essays; advising families on college choices and financial aid; representing Roxbury Latin to colleges; and remaining abreast of current trends in the college application and enrollment management process. Successful candidates will demonstrate excellent writing and communication skills; understand athletic recruitment, need-based financial aid, and merit-award packages; have facility with college advising software; be interested in thinking creatively about the ever-evolving college admissions landscape; be eager to work in a collaborative environment; and be able to enthusiastically and eloquently advocate for our students. For interested candidates, additional duties could include coaching, academic advising, supervising other extracurricular activities, or teaching an academic course. A bachelor’s degree is required, along with significant experience in selective college admissions or college counseling offices.
