In partnership with the VCEM, the AVC leads the development, execution, and assessment of enrollment and financial aid strategies for all new undergraduates and will work directly with the Deans on enrollment planning at the College/Unit/School level. In addition, the AVC will be responsible for guiding a state-of-the art new student recruitment approach that includes selecting and implementing enrollment technologies that advance the ability to make data-informed decisions and measurable resource planning. This includes yield optimization modeling, financial aid leveraging optimization, Course Program of Study (CPOS) implementation, and strategic communication across audience types. The University of North Carolina – Greensboro (UNCG) plays a crucial role in the UNC system as an access-based Minority Serving Institution (MSI) with approximately 19,000 students across more than 100 undergraduate and graduate programs. UNCG has made remarkable real-world impact across the state of North Carolina and beyond for more than 130 years.
The Division of Enrollment Management consists of five departments that work across the student lifecycle to facilitate and support recruitment and retention. Undergraduate Admissions, Financial Aid, Enrollment Communications, the University Registrar’s Office, and a centralized business operations unit report to the division. The VCEM works with the AVC to provide leadership and supervision for these units (each headed by a director) and also provides strategic enrollment management for the institution as a whole, regularly interacting with and coordinating the enrollment initiatives of the Graduate School, Global Engagement Office, Lloyd International Honors College, and academic schools and colleges. The Division works closely with senior leadership to establish enrollment targets and estimate annual resource generation tied to enrollment. Overall, the Division works closely with the Chancellor and key campus leadership to facilitate an environment where enrollment management and student success are closely tied in promoting student retention and graduation.
Minimum qualifications include a relevant master's degree and 10 years of progressive experience in admissions and enrollment management.
Preferred qualifications include progressive experience in the leadership of an enrollment management department, direct experience at a large, public university, and experience in financial aid leveraging and leading a comprehensive enrollment strategy.
